Ebay questions Google’s ethics.
Â
It seems there is another rival to Google in the town. Guess who is it this time? Yahoo, Microsoft..yes they are all rivals but the new one is eBay.Apparently Google wants to promote their Google check out and they want to compete with Paypal services offered by eBay. They are participating in the same function against eBay to promote Google checkout.
Google hoped to alert PayPal users who would have been in Boston attending the eBay Live annual seller event to its own service, according to market experts. It could also have been seen as part of an effort to get eBay to accept Google Checkout, currently banned on the online auctioneer’s site. Currently  eBay spends an estimated $25m (£12.6m) a year advertising on Google in the US.
Later Google cancelled it’s rival function and eBay is once again advertising on Google, which accounts for more than 50% of search queries in the US and 80% in Europe.
So moral of the story is Google making friends or Foes? Let’s discuss!Â
